HEY HULKS!

Hulk City Football Club bounced back after their last game to emerge victorious in a 7 goal thriller against Bapak Ko FC. After the final whistle the final score was 4-3 in favour of HCFC.
"It was a nail biter til full time" said one HCFC supporter.

The match started late due to unfavourable weather conditions and also the punctuality of the HCFC players. Luckily the referee was kind enough to close one eye.
The match kicked off with a HCFC starting line up of Zul, Amir, Nas, Adli, Rashid, Syamim, Kamarul, Shariff, Azmi, Chang Tat and Zahran in a witty 4-5-1 formation. On 3 minutes, HCFC drew first blood. Shariff and Zahran exchanged passes to penetrate through their defence before Shariff released a rocket straight to the keeper. Unfortunately the keeper stopped it calmly. On 8 minutes, a fine display of chemistry was shown by the HCFC attack, as Kamarul, Azmi and Zahran combined well to put a perfect cross for Kamarul to finish it. His shot hit the crossbar but Kammy Kams was offside anyway. Good try! The match was stagnant for a few minutes, before the Captain, released a 40 yard screamer in to the top corner 17 minutes into the game. The opponents were dumbfounded and were left in awe.
Aman then came in for Adli. Just minutes after the wonder goal, Bapak Ko FC struck back by playing a fine one-two through the middle and slotted the ball through Zul's underarms. What a response by the opposition. HCFC then woke up and more attacks were launched including a corner kick taken by Azmi that almost met its target after being headed in by Kammy Kams. Syamim sprained an ankle after his leg was caught when a BKFC player challenged for the ball. Careful MIM! Ilyas came in for Syamim. Zahran's effort didnt meet the target after he made a great turn around the defender and took a shot. Nice try!

Halftime score 1-1.

After the start of the first half, the opponents struck back through the wings and the low cross met the striker, Adam and he finished it off. It gave them the advantage, 2-1 now the score line. HCFC fought hard to even the score line. Shariff and Kamarul had a few shots on target and Ilyas failed to take a shot after given ample space to shoot. Nevertheless, HCFC got what they wanted after Kammy ran out of options to pass. So he laid it for the captain to try again and Amir took the gift from Kammy kams and released another 40 yard cracker, the keeper tipped it off his fingers but failed to keep it out of the net. Another wonder goal by the underperforming captain. Now who says lightning cant strike twice? HCFC then got back their lead after rashid's wonderful effort prove too hard for the keeper to handle and Shariff pounced it on the rebound. 3-2 Hulks! BKFC responded soon with another goal after Amir miskicked and Nas couldnt save Amir's mistake, Adam got to it first and slotted it home to earn his hat-trick. 3-3! Its almost as if BKFC could respond to every goal HCFC scored. But HULKS never gave up. Zahran, the lone striker, proved his mettle by taking a floating volley after controlling it wonderfully, and once again it beat the keeper somehow. GOAAAAAALLLLLL! 4-3 HULKS! The defence line of Nas, Amir, Adli and Rashid maintained the scoreline, by resisting all BKFC attacks till the final whistle.

What a glorious moment it was for HCFC. Every player played a wonderful part in this epic battle and their courage shook the opponents. I'm proud of you guys!

Haha, its as if we won the World Cup eh. Padahan baru menang friendly. hahahahaha. berangan sekejap tak boleh ke? hahahaha~

hey hulks,
the match has been confirmed and will take place at the mango field(the fenced field opp temasek poly) on 11th of july against the team formerly known as BKFC at 9am. no, not balestier khalsa FC, but they were formerly known as Bapak Ko FC. Their team colour will be blue and our colours will be the usual white TK top and black bottoms. please be punctual. and please meet at tampines interchange at 8. we will leave at 8.30. those going there on your own will have to reach by 8.40. those who are late will not start the match. and the cost per team is $65, so if as many hulks could come, the price per player will be lesser. thanks. another 2 confirmations are rashid and zahran.

1 tk white top,
1 black bottom (any),
1 pair of socks(any colour),
1 pair of boots,
1 thermometer,
minimum of $5,
and
your HULK attitude! AUGH!

AHOY HULKS! and fellow HULK CITY FC followers!

despite our recent setback, which was our annihilation by JYFC, we have gained back the momentum and have now set up another match against Amir's Classmate's Team. IDK what they call themselves. i'll just call them NS Men FC, cos theyve all been through national service. we havent. The match date and time is confirmed, next saturday, 11th July, at 9am. The venue however, is yet to be confirmed. So far the people who have confirmed their attendances are:
Adli, Azmi, Hafee, Ilyas, Kamarul, Nasruddin, Radyamansyah, Abdurrashid, Syamim, Syakir, Zulfaqqar and yours truly. Others not listed please contact me.

In any case, please take care of yourselves, due to the outbreak of the H1N1 flu. Please avoid contact with people who have been with people who have H1N1. hahah. DUHH. And, before you leave your house on the 11th, please take your temperature. And do, bring your thermometers. This is a standard procedure by the HULK CITY FC MANAGEMENT.

Awesome Display

And yet again, our one and only goalkeeper, Van Faqqar, put a wonderful display of great goalkeeping as he helped Hulk City FC fight off to a 2-2 draw with Amir's classmate's team. Statistically, Hulk City could have won the game as we only played with 10 players instead of 11. Their team played with 11 players plus they have substitutes. Kudos to Zul, Faris, Aman, Nas, Hafee, Azmi, Syamim, Chang Tat, Izzatul and Akmal. Hulk City gave a wonderful 1st half performance as they scored two goals, credits to Akmal. But mistakes chipped in as we concede two goals from them. We decided to play more defensive in the 2nd half as we were getting tired. Izzatul exaggerated a foul to fool the referee into giving Hulk City a penalty but unfortunately, he shoots it straight towards the keeper. I have to say that our defense are really good. But our attacking players have to build up more on your chemistry between each other. Overall, Hulk City is getting better and better. Before long, we probably are fit enough to play against teams from S League. HAH !!

SPECIAL NEWS

After much consideration from some of our team mates, we have decided to create a soccer kit for us. If everyone agrees, then we'll decide together what colour and brand. I suggest we buy only the top and socks cause basically, everyone wears black shorts. Tag and say whether you all agree with it. Okay ? Oh, before anyone says anything, SYAMIM WANT THE NUMBER 23 !!!

NEWSFLASH!

Lets start with bad news, okeh?
Bad news is, Captain Amir Zakaria is doubtful for this Saturday's match. He is still down with his knee injury and is due to be fit in a week. He is recovering fast, so lets pray for a miracle he'll play this Saturday. Shariff Munshi is also doubtful for the upcoming fixture as he has to perform in the Semarak Temasek event in his school. We wish him all the best.

The rest of the team reading this, please confirm your attendance as we are going to face a physically stronger opponent this Saturday compared to Adri's team. And Izzatul, the match is at 3-5pm so you dont have any excuse not to come.

Our first win, and what a match up it was.
It was really tight, like Ilyas' skinny jeans tight. Haha. That makes no sense. Hulk City FC managed to overcome Madrasah Aljunied in a 13 goal thriller which saw the final result as 7-6 to Hulk City FC. Congratulations to all the players who came, Amir, Akmal, Nas, Adli, Hakim, Zulfaqqar, Syamim, Hafee and Chang Tat.

The first half was like a stroll in the park for the Hulks, scoring 6 and only conceding 1 goal. Goalkeeper Zulfaqqar was on fire as he made a string of saves to guard the Hulk City FC goal. Madrasah Aljunied had a few chances on goal but with the sharpness and quick reflexes of Zulfaqqar, he was able to control the situations. His saves earned him the Man Of The First Half, but sadly he didnt live it up on the second half. His saves includes 3 one on ones. However, the goal he conceded was offside, but the opponents said they didnt wanna play the offside rule.

Also, highlights of the first half include Hakim, our youth player at only the age of 12, scoring 4 brilliant goals. His chemistry with Chang Tat and Akmal proved critical and it gave Hulk City the upper hand. Great work guys. Akmal also earned some limelight as he scored 2 important goals for the club. There were a few misses but the 6 goals scored proved to be vital. The defense was also on form as the captain organised the offside trap, catching the opponents offside at almost every attack they had. The defenders were tough and they stood their ground to deny Madrasah Aljunied's attacks.

In the second half, the opponents decided not to play offside and we agreed. That proved to be the worst decision ever made by the captain of Hulk City FC. Madrasah Aljunied attacked our weaknesses and they proved to be too hot to handle. They scored a total of 5 goals as they put in fresh new legs. Hulk City FC however, had a shortage of players though, due to poor attendance. Hence, all 9 players had to play for the whole game. Zulfaqqar was also injured in early into the second half, but he had to play on. Hulk City did grab the winning goal, through a series of passes and Chang Tat, Hakim and Syamim mixed well together to set up a goal for Akmal and he smashed it straight to the keeper and it went in.

Final score Hulk City FC 7 - 6 Madrasah Aljunied.

Hey Hulks,

The match tomorrow is held at Punggol CC against Madrasah Aljunied and it kicks off at 11am. We'll meet at Hougang Bus Interchange at 1030 am before making our way there. Please be punctual and please bring your attire; School P.E. t-shirt and black bottoms. This match was made possible thanks to our very own Mat Noh Adli Juhari. (Round of applause please.) Due to the high hopes set by Hulk City FC management, the board of directors expects nothing out of a win against the team who forfeitted about a month ago. Pundits PJ Roberts and Shebby Singh even predicted a 3-0 win and a 3-1 win respectively, coming into the match. But, i, as captain, looking at the string of injuries and doubts, a draw would be satisfying as only 9 out of 18 are able to come. The rest are doubtful. Lets just hope one of my left foot inswingers hit the target. (: May the gamma rays be with us all. Akmal Azan will be managing the team for this match by unanimous vote, so lets hope he doesnt screw up his first game in charge. Goodluck!
